Dining at Piccolo Vicolo is about the joyful discovery of textures and tastes tied deeply to the Roman neighborhood’s culinary soul. Imagine enjoying seafood that tastes freshly plucked from the nearby sea, enriched by subtle, comforting sauces and accents like pistachio pesto or delicate citrus touches. Or the pleasure of a rich, slow-cooked stew and freshly baked bread sourced from a nearby beloved bakery, grounding the meal in authenticity. Each plate feels thoughtfully composed, a quiet celebration of local ingredients elevated through simple but refined touches.
Here, comfort and curiosity walk hand in hand, encouraging you to explore beyond the familiar while feeling right at home. The thoughtfully curated menu supports a wide range of tastes — from the lightness of a seafood tartare to the deeper savoriness of grilled lamb or oxtail — all served with the kind of care that invites you to slow down and savor each bite.
Whether you choose to retreat to their charming outdoor patio or find a cozy nook within, Piccolo Vicolo is a place that quietly draws you in. It’s the kind of restaurant where moments unfold naturally, and the pleasure lies as much in the atmosphere and company as it does on the plate.

A true gem! My husband and I just happened to walk around the corner from our hotel and Piccolo Vicolo looked so inviting. We were warmly greeted and sat outside on their lovely patio area. Not only was the food wonderful, but the staff were all so welcoming, helpful, and really made us feel they wanted us to enjoy our experience. And we did! They took the time to explain and allow us to taste a couple wine options to best fit our preference and even gave us a fun little dessert bonus with a show! I cannot recommend them enough!

This was a fun little spot to stumble upon! It had just rained and the staff did a great job and making sure our seats and table outside were dry. The food was great and the staff had great recommendations for the dessert.

Great restaurant. One of our favorites during our entire trip to Rome. Great little patio on a side street a few blocks from Campo de Fiori. Very nice atmosphere in evening. Food was excellent. Wide variety of options from classic pasta to seafood to meat. Everyone found something they liked. The seafood soup and the tuna and pistachios were highlights. Very friendly service. Excellent overall - highly recommend.

Lovely patio seating on a side street in the heart of the shopping area. Friendly service and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the mussels in the white wine sauce. Also the bread comes from the famous bakery roscioli that is right around the corner.

My husband and I popped into here for lunch and had an incredible meal. We sat outside but there was ample indoor seating. We started with the fried prawns and a bottle of the Pinot Grigio, which were enough to stop by here alone. I had the carbonara and my husband had the pesto pasta and they were both incredible. We finished with the biscuits and sweet wine, and it was a perfect end to a lovely lunch. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, offering their suggestions and recommendations. We would definitely recommend anyone to stop in!
